No girl should have to choose between her dignity and her future.
The Naisula Collective focuses on removing the daily barriers that prevent girls in rural Kenya from staying in school and building their future.
Through international fundraising and local coordination of cross-kenyan distribution, we provide schoolgirls in rural Kenya with a consistent monthly supply of menstrual and hygiene products, ensuring they can attend class with dignity and confidence.
Our strategy looks beyond logistics and distribution. As we grow, we are developing a broader ecosystem of support; combining access to resources, education, and confidence-building through the collection and delivery of essential clothing items, books, and future scholarships, so that no girl has to choose between her dignity and her future.
Our Ultimate Goal
Access to Menstural Products
We aim to ensure that girls have consistent access to safe, reliable menstrual hygiene products. The monthly hygiene kits we distribute give school girls the dignity and confidence to attend school throughout every cycle, removing one of the most immediate barriers to consistent attendance.
Education Without Interruption
Collecting clothing items, books, and essential school supplies from our local communities beyond Kenya, to minimize the risk of dropout due to systemic and preventable challenges.
Our long-term goal is to build a support system that enables young women to pursue higher education, careers, and leadership roles on their own terms.
We envision a scholarship program that supports girls and their families from middle school through to university: helping them complete high school, making higher education attainable, and opening pathways to professional opportunities through funding and mentorship.
A Future Without Limits
Common Questions
How does the Naisula Collective Empower girls?
How can I contribute?
By addressing the barriers to basic resources such as essential menstrual care, we empower girls to confidently attend school, ensuring that something as natural as a period never stands in the way of their success.
You can support our mission through one-time donations, monthly sponsorships, local partnerships in Kenya, or by volunteering your skills to help grow our outreach. Please get in touch for more information.
Where is your primary focus?
We focus our efforts on teenage school girls in the Maasai Mara’s outskirts who are at high risk of school dropout due to lack of access to menstrual hygiene care, as well as the risk of forced early pregnancy due to visible early signs of puberty that can lead to exploitation.
What is in a hygiene kit?
Each monthly delivery contains a one-month supply of period pads, body wash, and nutritious snacks bought from local vendors in Nairobi, Kenya.
How do you measure impact?
We monitor the influence of our interventions through ongoing conversations with school teachers, pupils, and their parents. We track classroom attendance and qualitative data, such as confidence to attend school during mensturation and lived experiences.
